WebMCP support
WebMCP is disabled by default. You can enable compatible browser and AI-assistant tools for your account from Profile.
Experimental browser support
WebMCP is experimental and is not supported by every browser or assistant. It is disabled by default, and its capabilities may change over time. Every supported action remains available through the regular Big Spinning Wheel pages and controls whether or not you enable it.
How WebMCP works
Big Spinning Wheel does not provide an AI assistant. If you choose a browser or assistant that supports WebMCP, first enable the account-wide preference in Profile settings. Supported signed-in pages can then register their available tools for that browser or assistant.
Turning the preference off notifies other open supported pages in this browser to remove their tools. A supported page also removes its tools while hidden and verifies the current account preference before registering again when visible. You can always use Big Spinning Wheel normally without WebMCP or an AI assistant.
What an assistant can help with
On supported pages, a compatible assistant can help you:
- Find and open active wheels you own or can edit.
- Create a new wheel.
- Edit wheel content and settings, including segments, appearance, chance, sound, and advanced settings.
- Manage public-link settings for wheels you own.
What is not available through WebMCP
WebMCP does not provide actions for:
- Viewing or spinning wheels.
- Importing or exporting wheel files.
- Managing collaborators or invitations.
- Archiving, deleting, or transferring ownership of wheels.
- Favorites, administration, or statistics-only tasks.
Your normal permissions and protections still apply
WebMCP works through your current signed-in session. The same permissions and protections that apply when you use the site normally also apply when an assistant performs an action for you.
For example, an assistant cannot grant itself access to a wheel, perform an owner-only action when you are only an editor, or bypass an action that Big Spinning Wheel does not allow.
Actions still follow the applicable validation, content-safety checks, active-spin restrictions, confirmation steps, and protections for unsaved changes. Review requested changes and the result shown by your assistant before continuing.
Information shared with your browser or assistant
WebMCP is off by default. Enabling it in your Profile lets eligible signed-in pages expose tool descriptions, capabilities, and catalog values to a compatible browser or AI assistant you select. Depending on your instructions, permissions, and provider settings, tools may act through your session under previously granted authority without fresh approval for each invocation. You are responsible for the authority you grant and actions taken within it, as described in the Terms of Service.
The provider may receive action inputs and results, including wheel content, and applies its own privacy, retention, and model-training practices. Big Spinning Wheel does not select that provider. The WebMCP feature does not add provider or invocation telemetry; general request, log, and security processing is described in the Privacy Policy. Disabling WebMCP does not, by itself, undo completed actions or delete information already received by a provider. Read AI and data use.
Public and embed links
WebMCP uses the same sharing features already available in Big Spinning Wheel. If an action creates or returns a public or embed link, your existing sharing settings continue to control access.
Anyone who receives an active public link can access that wheel while public sharing remains enabled.
- Turning off embedding disables the embed link.
- Turning off the public link disables both public and embed access.
You can change these settings at any time using the regular Big Spinning Wheel controls.
If WebMCP actions do not appear
If your assistant does not show the expected actions, the account preference may be off, WebMCP may not be supported by your browser or assistant, or the action may not be available on the current page or with your permission for that wheel.
- Make sure you are signed in and have completed any required legal agreements.
- Open Profile settings and make sure WebMCP browser-assistant tools are enabled.
- Open your wheel dashboard, the create page, or the relevant supported wheel editor page.
- Check that your permission level allows the requested action.
- If a wheel is currently spinning, wait until the spin completes before making changes.
- If the editor has unsaved changes, save or discard them using the regular page controls.
- If WebMCP remains unavailable or an action is declined, use the page's regular buttons and fields instead.
